The Comet is a design that uses the finial as the largest diameter, tapering from this point all the way to the end of the barrel. The finial has been made from a translucent material that represents a comet. The rest of the pen tapers to the end of the barrel, representing the comet’s tail. The cap posts deep and secure.
This Edison Comet fountain pen is made of a swirly red and black resin, with a silver clip, and a #6 polished steel nib engraved with the Edison logo. It accepts a standard international converter (included) or short standard international cartridges, or can be converted to eyedropper fill.
All Edison pens are handmade in Milan, Ohio by Brian Gray. We do our best to photograph the pens to show how they will appear in person, but due to the nature of the material, expect some variation in the pattern from what you see here.

Exquisite!
Period.
A very wonderful Nib.
Ok it’s my favorite pen of cartridge/ converter filler pens.
An exceptional value in every way.
The elegant, red Comet is a well made Edison pen.
Edison pens are made In United States.
The pen has a nice balanceD, durable composition: not too light , not too fat, not too small, not to heavy.
The concave grip is comfortable, secure, and pleasant, very symmetrically and aesthetically delightful. This is the perfection of vintage grips or costly Italian designs.
The medium thick resin is very a finely finished reproduction of antique red/black ebonite pens. I prefer acrylic if it’s done to this fine finish.
The Lucid dome top is like smoky quartz.
This design is uniquely forward thinking, and past embracing.
If you haven't tried an Edison nib you are in for a surprise.
My EF steel nib has the “vintage bounce, with slight hint of controlled line width alteration. I don’t miss the 18k, 23k expense. You can purchase other interchangeable nibs readily from Edison, and that’s an amazing plus.
The flow on the EF is above the bar, with no scratch, and moderate to light feedback on some papers.
The cap is “postable” but I don’t to spare the risk of scratching the flawless finish.
100% in love with my new pen. I coupled my pen experience with a brand new bottle of Visconti ink, in the red color family of course.
I’ve been waiting for a WORTHY red pen to order my Visconti ink.
