The unique design of the Limited Edition Arco fountain pen is a stratification of layers of materials, creating a design with colors that were popular in the ‘30s. After intensive research, Pineder has been able to replicate these famed hues with several layers of resin, creating a visual effect that mimics celluloid—a once popular material in pen manufacturing. This new resin is more durable and does not face the crystallization issues of celluloid, making the Arco an amazing upgrade. This fine writing instrument is complemented by 14 kt Quill Nib, a twist magnetic cap lock, and a piston filling mechanism. This is my very first Pineider and there will be more . It is an amazing pen ! It feels like writing on a cloud , or as some have said “a hot knife gliding through butter “ . The nib has a bit of flex and I have a M , and I really like that does put down a nice amount of ink , and the ink I’m using (J Herbin ) , dries quickly even on mediocre paper . No smearing , or feathering. This pen has a very nice weight and length , and is so comfortable, even for lengthy use , either posted or not . Then on to the appearance ~ the brilliant colors make it like a festival right at hand . I looked over several that were in store , and each one of them was a little different, and all beautiful. Mine has brilliant blues, green, yellow, red orange , red and even a touch of purple . The colors are layered yet transparent. It has a magnetic closure and it is fun to watch it snap close , and align its colors perfectly. My only ‘regret’ was not buying it sooner . Highly recommend this pen .
