Made in Italy with the highest quality materials, the Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown fountain pen is a vacuum filler fitted with a stainless steel fountain pen nib (varying nib sizes available) and available in varying colors.
The Twin Tank Touchdown filling system is designed to allow writing enthusiasts to enjoy luxury writing in complete safety during air travel, and free us all from the need to store and carry inked fountain pens in the upright position. The Twin Tank Touchdown filling system accommodates two writing positions: short writing and long writing. An ingenious mechanism inside the case back enables the activation of a large tank that serves as a reserve and a small tank that is always connected to the fountain pen nib. The filling system knob at the back end of the barrel is threaded with an inner spring sealing ink inside to prevent any ink loss.
The Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown fountain pen is made of UltraResin, a mother-of-pearl compound resin in a special formula developed in Florence, Italy, for Pineider's luxury pens. The UltraResin compound is very stiff with exceptional qualities that make it stand out - even improving on the industry-preferred material of celluloid. UltraResin's rigidity nears the strength of metal, so it's incredibly resistant to hits and close to being "unbreakable." It's also resistant to oils, inks, electricity, high and low temperatures, UV rays, and weather conditions.
The Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown fountain pen collection is available in 5 colors, and the pens are created using glueless technology. Each Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown fountain pen is fitted with a large N6 Demi Flex futuristic nib and features a sophisticated solid steel clip with an inner spring and mechanism built into the top of the pen's cap. A special experience walking into the Florence store of the iconic Pineider company and walking out with a modern beauty. Lovely to write with, light but solid and easier to refill than my classic Cross fountain pens (which i also love). Am enjoying the smooth flow in the writing action and the extra fine nib means it is great for writing into my diary on a daily basis. The magnetic lid clicks well into place for a lovely feel. And to be honest the thought that has gone into the clip design and the design on the barrel just makes it that little more memorable positioned around the clear barrel. Paired it with a funky blue ink and it satisfied me perfectly. Thank you to the sales team for pointing this traveller into the right direction with the Avatar Touch Down Fountain Pen.
The Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown Clear fountain pen is quite a nice one. I'm happy with its practical nature. Pineider fashioned this pen with precision so the magnetic cap, the team of nib and feed, and the piston filling system all work well in the demonstrator model I bought.
No instruction about filling technique, was disappointing.
Recently received my new Peneider Twin Tank Touchdown in clear. What a beauty! Feels so good in the hand. Substantial, but not heavy. The ink filling and delivery system is brilliant. Makes it much safer for travel, and the extra large tank allows you to write almost forever on each fill. And it's just beautiful to look at!
I'm just surprised it took me so long to find Peneider!
