We are pleased to present QWERTY, the new Visconti Limited Edition collection, inspired by the alphanumeric keyboard patented in 1864 by Christopher Sholes. With this pen, Visconti pays homage to a timeless system, born with typewriters, but still present today in everyday life.
The black acrylic bas of the barrel and cap are covered by an engraved, aged silver structure and subsequently enamelled. The fountain pen is fitted with an 18k gold nib finished in ruthenium.
All the metalwork is made in silver, which is aged with a special treatment. The band is engraved in the Visconti workshop and then enamelled, while the clip, equipped with a pressure mechanism, is embellished with an element that recalls a traditional typewriter key. All the internal components of the pen are made using the turning technique.
The pen itself is plated with precious aged silver and engraved on three different levels with a special technique white gives the writing instrument a three-dimensional effect.
This is a limited edition of just 388 pieces worldwide.
