Dive into deep writing with the Narwhal Nautilus collection. This oversized, piston-fill fountain pen is crafted from European ebonite with 3 “porthole” circular ink windows to spot the amount of ink in the large reservoir. The Nautilus’s warm, grained body has a welcoming feel and vintage appeal.

The Nautilus is outfitted with a stainless steel, number 6 size nib made in-house by Narwhal. Writers enjoy Narwhal's nibs for their smoothness and consistency from day one. Select from F, M, B, 1.1mm stub, or BB nib sizes to best suit your writing preferences.

Narwhal Nautilus in Maylandia Blue

I recently acquired this pen in the Maylandia Blue with a Fine Nib. At the same time I received the Narwhal Schuylkill in a broad nib. Both of these pens have a nice feel in the hand and balance well. The Schuylkill will post whereas the Nautilus will not; nonetheless less, both pens have the same feel and balance, posted or not. The absolutely most impressive thing is the buttery smooth nib. Even the fine nib glides on the page as if lubricated—no drag or catching and a beautiful, consistent line with appropriate fountain pen variation. In addition to the mechanics and finely tuned nib, the colors are absolutely stunning and brilliant—they practically glow. A pen this good at these price points seems almost impossible. I would put both against my three 18K gold nib Montblancs or any one of my Pelicans up to the M1000 and choose the Narwhal for a smooth, effortless write.
