I really liked the aged copper appearance and it matched well with the bottle of Diplomat Caramel ink that came in the Inkbox. The first thing I noticed was the 'sharp' edges of the machined threads at the end. The cap screws on, which I like, and a very solid weight. The cap tops by screwing it on. Without a clip, the cap and/or pen will roll away on you if not placed carefully, so you definitely want to top it. The edges and threads can also make holding it uncomfortable for any length of time. The lack of a pocket clip definitely makes this a good pen to throw into a pocket and feel secure that it isn't going to be damaged or leak. Writes very nicely and smoothly. This pen is well suited for short notes in the field, but I wouldn't recommend it for writing at a desk due to the sharp threads. Very good value!

Edit -> Threw this into my travel kit for a week vacation. The sharp threading has smoothed out and is less of an issue.
