slow flow

structurally, the pen is nicely balanced. I love pens that have a wider body, but in this case, the pen's ink flow is so poor that it makes using it terribly frustrating.

Smooth sailing

I’m new to fountain pens and enjoying this Moonman M8, both to look at and my writing experience. I’ve had the pen almost a month and I haven’t had any issues and the nib writes very smoothly on various types of paper. As a newbie, I am very happy to start with this pen. I’ve ordered pens 5x the price and this Mooman keeps up with them.

It's fine for me

I already own other Moonman pens, and those have been fine for me. This one is no exception. I got the Green Raden, because the purple always seems to be out of stock, LOL! (The green is also fine as a color. The shiny sparkles make me smile.)

I'll agree that the pen IS a bit of a dry writer. I used Robert Oster River of Fire in mine. On Clairefontaine paper, it writes fine for me. It doesn't lay down a lot of ink, but mine isn't scratchy and doesn't skip. Writing with this pen/ink combo on Tomoe River paper shows off the ink a little better, but hey, Tomoe River paper, amirite? Makes most everything look better.

If you want a wet fine nib, this probably isn't the pen for you. But if you don't mind a dryish pen, it's fine. though probably not the best for the fancy sheening/shimmer inks.
