I love these boxes!

I received my first box in November. My box contained a bottle of Robert Oster Mistletoe Ink and a Hongdian Black Forest with a Broad Nib. The ink is amazing and I love the color with its red sheen over green! The fountain pen is likewise spectacular! I have replaced the nib with a Fine nib I purchased elsewhere as I like a little less ink due to fewer smudges. I have quite a number of fountain pens including pens from inexpensive to much more expensive. The Hongdian is a lovely writer that rivals my Montblanc 32 and Kaweco All-rounder just to name a couple. I even tried the Black Forest with a Fude Nib and it remained just as balanced as it does with regular nibs. (I am excited about learning to use the Fude Nib correctly.) I have since received a Moonman M2 Eyedropper in my December Ibox. Everyone at work loves the look of it filled with purple ink!

Thanks Truphae for putting together a great entry level box that doesn't disappoint! I'm looking forward to my January box coming next week!

Got it in good time, pretty pen and straight black ink. Hoping for brighter colors soon

My Fountain Pen Smells and leaks

My Fountain Pen smells like butt plastic, and leaked ink every where.

New to fountain pens

I recently started journaling again with the pandemic. Started writing with a basic Lamy Safari pen and want to up my game by trying more pens and inks, but what to try. That's when I found Truphae and subscribed to the Inkmeister premium. My first shipment came beautifully shipped, with a Truphae box and cool filler. I got a teal Delike Spectra pen and a 30ml bottle of the Diplomat Black ink. I loved the look of the crackled Spectra and the small size, the nib is fine and has just the right amount of scratchiness. However, the ink on the pen writes pretty wet compared to my Lamy. The ink is also a deep black but not mind blowing. I can't wait to try this pen out with other inks and look forward to future boxes.

Product is promising, ordering process less so

The first box was received today. This was slightly problematic, as the FAQ said orders placed after the 16th would ship on the 1st, so I was expecting the first box to ship in January, not December, but instead, it shipped out on 12/17 right after I placed the order. This was a Christmas gift, and had the USPS not been running so behind schedule, the first box would have arrived at the giftee’s house before Christmas, sans explanation. It was also oddly difficult to arrange for a subscription as a gift — no options for set 3-, 6-, or 12-month subscriptions, just open-ended, and no option to put down a different recipient than the account holder. Still, the box was well received, and my mother is looking forward to future month’s boxes, and that’s the most important thing.
