This LAMY Joy fountain pen has a long tapered black resin body with a red clip, and an interchangeable silver stub italic steel nib. It comes with a LAMY ink cartridge, or it also accepts a LAMY Z28 converter to use bottled ink (sold separately). The triangular grip is helpful for proper hand/grip position while writing.

Note: To ensure quality performance, LAMY tests their pens as a final step in manufacturing. If you happen to see any residual blue ink, rest assured that this is normal.

Like a long handle Safari

The Lamy Joy is obviously similar to the Lamy Safari but with a much longer barrel. I have big hands and appreciate the extra length. You’ll use this at your desk. It is not suitable for carrying in a pocket, nor would it fit in most pen cases. Like a Safari, the grip encourages holding the nib at a specific angle, which is quite helpful for using stub nibs. I got it with the 1.9mm stub and am happy with it.

Love this pen!

This Calligraphy pen really suits my needs. It is super light and I love lamy pens in general so maybe I am biased. I also purchased the converter to go with it so that I can use my favorite different color inks when I write. I would recommend as it has a great price for a magnificent pen

Best little secret

I love this pen! I have a large handwriting and it fits perfectly. It also allows me to write very small which is something I've never really been able to do. It's in my bag every day! Love it! Worth the wait because I've been looking at this pen for 2 years and finally made the purchase.🥰
