I received this pen in my monthly Inkredible Box, and liked the look straight away. It looks very understated with the silver lines on the black glosssy body. I have to say, I prefer writing with an extra fine or fine nib, and I’m very choosy about how they write. This one did not win me over immediately. It wasn’t scratchy, but it also wasn’t very smooth. It took a few pages of journaling to really start to feel it smooth out. It doesn’t top Benu or Lamy for me, but it’s a great every day pen, and looks and feels great now. So far, that’s been my experience with the Diplomat pens I’ve used. They don’t really wow me, but they write nicely and they are a solid choice for a fountain pen.
This is an amazing pen for the price. For me, the only downside is that it didn't come with a converter.
