I bought this to test out Tomoe River paper to see what all of the excitement was about and see if I could get a thinner notebook. On a positive note, I did like the feel of the paper as I wrote, and it did not bleed-through or feather on any of my Pen/nib/ink combinations, but it shadows a lot.
The first thing I did was do a pen and ink test page in the back. I tried 13 different fountain pens with five different inks (using nibs EF to 1.1 stub) and every single one showed-through the page (shadowed) so severely that it would be pretty much impossible to use both sides of the sheets. The paper is nice but won't work for what I hoped to use it for. I even tried it with Fisher Space Pen ball-points and that shadowed as well. I'll give it to a friend who will use it as a scratchpad. I'll try the heavier 68 gsm Tomoe River paper and give that a go. I was hoping for something as nice as the 80gsm Clairfountaine paper in my Rhodia notebook.
