I'll keep this short. This little notebook is made from high quality paper, no bleed-through, no ghosting, and pleasant line width. It is close to perfection for a very affordable price.
These Clairefontaine 1951 notebooks are my personal standard for fountain pen use. Clairefontaine makes some of the best, most consistent, FP-friendly paper out there, and I’ve burned through more of these books than I can count.
The product description incorrectly lists (as of the writing of this review) that the pages are perforated, but they actually are not. However, I’m not a child and this isn’t my first rodeo; I’m familiar with the product (it’s pretty standard/ubiquitous in the pen world), and I’m not pulling out the pages to turn in my geometry homework on — though even if I was, I’m sure I could figure out at least a few ways to neatly tear a sheet. It wouldn’t be the end of the world, ya know?
All said, it’s a pretty inexpensive product, and everything else about my shopping experience with Truphae was terrific, so I’m not gonna turn in a snotty, negative review over one small typo on the product listing page :D
Thanks for everything, Truphae!
Pages are not perforated like other notebooks.
Useless.
