Lamy Bronze Ink Lots of Variation

Using a Bronze Lamy AL-Star Fine nib with Lamy Bronze ink and my reaction is it works. Somewhat disappointed. I generally write without a lot of pressure and the results seem watery with a lot of width variation and depth of color. Maybe for calligraphy it would be good. It did dry quickly without feathering or bleed thru so that was good. The pen seemed a little scratchy with this ink so I don't know yet if it's the pen or ink. The Touraine ink in another Lamy is much more comfortable to write with.
