This Sailor Compass 1911 fountain pen has a transparent clear resin body, a clear feed, and silver trim. It comes with a stainless steel nib in Medium Fine. Each pen comes packaged in a gift box with a color-matched Sailor proprietary converter and two proprietary Sailor Black ink cartridges.
Returned, it arrived with dried ink on nib and not working correctly. Can't really say what pen is like...
Another pen checked off on my grail list. Nice entry level pen in the Sailor pens. Pen is on the smaller size but fits in my hand ok as my hands are on the smaller size. I do prefer to post my pens and this one posts nicely. Threads are plastic so you could eye dropper fill if you wanted to. Filled it with the new Sailor 50 States Virginia color. Started writing off on the get go. A nice entry level pen in the Sailor brand.
Despite being provided with its measurements, I was surprised at how small the Compass is. However, the diameter isn't difficult to hold once the pen is posted. The nib is great and MF size does well as either M or F. It's well worth the money.
This pen writes extremely smooth and I love the medium fine nib
