Monteverde ink features a special "ITF" Ink Treatment Formula, giving it exceptionally smooth flow. This allows for an extended amount of time you can leave your pen uncapped before it dries out. It also lubricates your pen's feed system and protects it against clogging and corrosion.

So good in so many ways

This ink has a glowing warmth that doesn't fully come across in photos. It flows just right, even through the diminutive EF nib of my Kaweco Liliput. Through the medium nib on my TWSBI Vac700R, it literally floats across the page. This is the smoothest ink I've written with in a comparable hue. It is a shade I would hesitate to call boring, business brown. It is dark enough to read by the pageful, but with just enough orange whimsy to preclude its use on official contracts. It dries rapidly, though I'm not sinistral, so I can't comment on how well it is suited for lefties. All in all, if you are looking for something outside the realm of an 8 Crayola box of boring that is somehow simultaneously somber and playful, this works great. It is the only ink I will have in my copper bodied Liliput from now on. Considering how tiny that pen is, the 90ml bottle I bought should last me well into the next decade at least.

Really fun, vibrant ink

I love this ink. The flow is wet but not out of control by any means. Depending on the pen/nib size, it goes down on the paper as anything from a slightly dark orange to a very dark and rich earthy red. There's also a hint of water resistance, which I really appreciate. If you get it wet, most of the color will run, but you should still be able to read what you wrote. I like the bottle it comes in too: metal cap that won't crack like so many plastic ones do, and the bottle is fairly deep, which will make filling a little easier as the level decreases. I have noticed this ink is sometimes darker/wetter than other times, but I'm not sure if that's an inconsistency in my pen or the ink. Oh, also, this ink has great shading. I'm glad I bought it. It's going to be one of my regular go-tos.
