I got one of these in an inkbox last fall and couldn't stop using it, so I bit the bullet and ordered it in white. You can't beat the price and it writes smooth as butter, has a great weight to it and is slim enough to fit my small hands perfectly. I'll probably be getting the whole set.
The Moonman M2 is certainly a beautifully designed pen. The clear barrel makes red ink look like blood in the most aesthetic way. However. It’s not as fun to write with. The ink comes out extremely slowly, making the color seem diluted. It’s a little dry and doesn’t ink the page nicely, making it hard to write on certain paper types. Overall, it’s a pretty pen but nowhere near my go-to, the HongDian Black Forest pen.
I wish I had a better experience writing with this pen. It is a great size and shape for my hands - it feels good to write with. However, it is not consistent for me. I’ve tried several different inks in the pen but it is just NOT a consistent writer. I tried my no fail ink - Mt. Blanc - and it wrote great when I first changed the ink hut now, nothing. This is the third ink I’ve tried. Maybe there is something wrong with mine.
I got a white Moonman N5 in my first Inkredible box (which I also love, I look forward to its arrival every month.) My boyfriend loved it too, so I ordered him one. It has a very nice weghted feel too it, but is slender and sleek.
I received this pen along with another pen in my September Inkcredible box. It is a nice pen that fits nice in the hand. If you are not fond of pens with a slimmer profile or you prefer a pen with heft, this is not the pen for you. However, in my humble opinion, this is a great EDC or journaling pen that is a wet and smooth writer. I never heard of this pen nor seen any reviews on YouTube and what I like about Truphae, is that they have uniquely beautiful pens that some of us may not have heard of.
