To preface this review, I have small Asian woman hands and I am also left handed to boot, so there may be a number of things you can chalk up to operator error. It's a beautiful pen. I love the details, the coloration. As far as a writer, the EF nib I have is a little scratchy but there's no problem getting it to start writing. In contrast, I have a Pineider Avatar (also EF) that is a wet writer and is quite smooth.
Edit: I am returning this pen.
Love the size of this pen if you have larger hands as I do so will you
This is a well made pen that fits my hand very well. I have dashed off several letters since receiving it just because of the way it writes!
I was attracted to this pen because it looks so much like a Delta Dolce Vita Orange. Now, I don't have a Delta DV to compare it to, but I am loving this pen. I have a number of pens with JOWO nibs, but I'm pretty sure Maiora has tuned this fine nib because it writes as good as any nib I have, including the gold nibs I have on Montblancs, Pilots, and Leonardo pens. This pen is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I recommend it highly.
This size pen is perfect in my hand. I have a preference for slightly larger bodies (15mm +/-) and wider grip sections (+11mm). Nib is JoWo so you know to expect a smooth writing experience. Lastly, I like the weight of this pen. It is heavier than many of the pens in my small collection and it feels substantial, but not awkward.
I generally do not gravitate toward overly fancy, frilly pens, but I like the aesthetic of the Mitho Origine. The engraved sterling cap ring just works with this classic pen shape. The contrast of orange and black is fetching.
