Visconti Mirage Zeus Fountain Pen

Regular price $129.95 Save $-129.95

This Mirage pen introduces, in addition to a new shape with a modern design, two important innovations for the Visconti production: a new clip, whose manufacturing accentuates the three-dimensionality of the object, and the My Pen System which is not on the cap, but on the bottom of the body, in order to leave in a full view the style of the clip, which "cuts" the cap with its metal structure.

The grip section is made of vegetal resin for a comfortable feeling while writing. The fluidity of the pen is disrupted by hollowed grooves in the body, giving the feel of a “mirage” or an optical illusion. It features Visconti’s new steel nib which writes beautifully. A converter is included, and it also accepts standard international short or long cartridges.

The Mirage "Zeus" fountain pen is a Truphae Exclusive, and is limited to just 40 pieces. This Is not a numbered pen, but is limited in production.

We do our best to photograph the pens to show how they will appear in person, but due to the nature of the material, expect some variation in the pattern from what you see here.

very nice, but…..

Gorgeous resin, excellent workmanship, I like the magnetic closure and the fact that it is smooth and lays down a decent wet line. What bothers me about it is that it looks like the nib was an afterthought. It just looks too small and not well designed.
I would perhpas not have bought it except that I am attracted to limited edition pens and the fact there are only 39 others make it a keeper.

My first Visconti

This is my first Visconti, and it won't be my last. I got mine in a fine nib, and it writes smoothly, and the build quality is fantastic.

Beautiful!

The resin work of the body is subtly beautiful, I could stare at it for hours. Love the magnetic cap as well, and the broad nib writes incredibly smoothly. Truphae shipped it safely as well, would recommend :)

Lightweight and solid oen

Constructed with vegetal resin, this pen is extremely lightweight. This is something I would not have expected with Visconti pens. I have been told thatost Italian pens are between 30 gm to 50 gm. This pen is less than 20 gm.

The nib is a smooth writer. Mine is not particularly wet.

The magnetic clasp is a nice feature. It aligns the cap and barrel perfectly.

My only hesitation is the converter. It seems a bit on the cheap side. The pen will take short and long international cartridges.

A very good pen for the price.

Another Visconti Win!

I am a big fan of Visconti pens. I own Visconti Homo Sapiens, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, and Van Gogh pens. They are all amazing in craftsmanship, writing, design and aesthetics. The nibs, even steel nibs, lay down a great line, write smoothly and wet. Along comes the Mirage, which is another win in the Visconti stable of fountain pens. The Zeus in a deep and satisfying color scheme. As with the previously mentioned Visconti fountain pens, it has a good balance and feels great in my hand. I could write for days. The nib didn't need any adjustments, writes without skipping and is smooth. It leaves a nice wet line. I highly recommend this pen, especially in the the Zeus color scheme. Awesome!
