Made in Italy with the highest quality materials, the Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown fountain pen is a vacuum filler fitted with a stainless steel fountain pen nib (varying nib sizes available) and available in varying colors.
The Twin Tank Touchdown filling system is designed to allow writing enthusiasts to enjoy luxury writing in complete safety during air travel, and free us all from the need to store and carry inked fountain pens in the upright position. The Twin Tank Touchdown filling system accommodates two writing positions: short writing and long writing. An ingenious mechanism inside the case back enables the activation of a large tank that serves as a reserve and a small tank that is always connected to the fountain pen nib. The filling system knob at the back end of the barrel is threaded with an inner spring sealing ink inside to prevent any ink loss.
The Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown fountain pen is made of UltraResin, a mother-of-pearl compound resin in a special formula developed in Florence, Italy, for Pineider's luxury pens. The UltraResin compound is very stiff with exceptional qualities that make it stand out - even improving on the industry-preferred material of celluloid. UltraResin's rigidity nears the strength of metal, so it's incredibly resistant to hits and close to being "unbreakable." It's also resistant to oils, inks, electricity, high and low temperatures, UV rays, and weather conditions.

Each Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown fountain pen is fitted with a large N6 Demi Flex futuristic nib and features a sophisticated solid steel clip with an inner spring and mechanism built into the top of the pen's cap. I bought this for myself for Christmas/New Years and I love this pen. It has a wonderfully smooth writing experience, the weight balance and diameter of the pen limits hand fatigue when I write for pages. The amount of ink this pen holds has been awesome for work trips when taking meeting notes or old school handwriting drafts of articles. I have goofed twice and forgot not to post the pen when it was unlocked and in the process of removing the cap from the unlocked ink forced a good bit of ink out, but that was on me and not the pen. It is easy to fill with the Pineider travel filler. I would recommend getting that filler if you get this pen.
