The YStudio Brassing Sketching pencil design reflects the original wooden pencil design with the hexagonal shape, and is treated with a matte black lacquer finish that wears off as you use the pencil to expose the solid brass body underneath the black finish. When the raw brass is exposed, it starts to develop a unique patina depending on your use of the pencil. Reflecting. your unique story depending on how often you pick it up to put it to paper.

Each YStudio Brassing Sketching mechanical pencil also comes with a sheet of sandpaper for those who want to speed up the process and generate the look of a heavily used pencil in a short amount of time. To do so, simply use the included sandpaper to remove some or all of the black coating to expose the raw brass.

YStudio Brassing Sketching mechanical pencils have a solid brass body, a matte black finish designed to wear off over time, and is designed for use with a 2 mm lead. Each pencil also includes 1 piece of sandpaper, an instruction booklet, and is packaged in a YStudio gift box.
