BENU Tessera Fountain Pen
The Benu Tessera fountain pen has a mosaic pattern inspired by tesserae art. Individual cube shape tiles recreate the magic of the Byzantine era, St. Sophia Cathedral in Kievan Rus', Lomonosov’s masterpieces and the art nouveau of renowned Russian artists V. M. Vasnetsov and M. A. Vrubel.
Scored a turquoise US-exclusive on sale locally and am now a big Benu fan (correction to previous review)!
Scored a turquoise US-exclusive on sale locally and am not a big Benu fan! I hope to get the amber soon.
Pen feels much lighter in the hand than you would think due to its girth. The resin/plastic body is thick but surprisingly light. Pen writes very smoothe. Only took a few minutes on first inking to get it going. At this price point, I could see someone expecting a nice box to come with it instead of the paper box. Oh well. I have too many nice pen boxes anyway.
