The Esterbrook Estie Accutron is a new limited edition for 2021, done in collaboration with the famed watchmaker, and using McKenzie Penworks Diamondcast technique.
To illuminate the magnificent colors of the Accutron, the Diamondcast material for these writing instruments was developed in collaboration with McKenzie Penworks and gleams with colors of green and gold. Available in the oversize, this is the first Esterbrook pen to carry the 18k gold nib, and is limited to just 100 pieces worldwide.
Because this nib only comes in Medium, we are offering a FREE specialty nib grind from Mark Bacas! He has offered either a Cursive Smooth Italic, or a Hybrid nib grind. Here are some details about the grinds:
Medium - Ships immediately with the stock 18k gold nib
Cursive Smooth Italic - This will essentially be a very usable 0.5mm Stub nib, where the downstrokes will be thicker, and the side strokes will be thinner. What sets this apart from other Italic nibs is the smoothness, which is created by slight bevels on the edge of the nib.
Hybrid - This is basically an architect nib, which has the opposite effect of the Italic. It will provide a thinner downstroke, and a thicker side stroke. This nib is also smoothed out so that it doesn't create a harsh side-to-side stroke, and is excellent for daily use.
*PLEASE NOTE: Because these nibs will be customized to your specification, we are unable to offer returns on any nib except the factory Medium.

About Esterbrook Pens
The Esterbrook Pen Company, a true American Original, is writing its next chapter.
As Americana and nostalgia for the past have come into favor, iconic American brands are being reborn in the cities where they first achieved fame. For one hundred years Esterbrook was the pride of Camden, NJ. Today, it’s been moved 120 miles north to Kenro headquarters in Mineola, NY, where its storied past will forever be a part of its promising future.
To that end, our first offering is the Esterbrook Estie.
The Estie is a tribute to Richard Esterbrook and the much-loved brand he built.
The pen’s classic style harkens to the 1930’s, a time when fountain pens were an integral part of how Americans communicated. As a celebration of the interchangeable nib system of the Esterbrooks of the 1930’s, the Estie comes with a modern nib, but can be adapted using our specially engineered MV Nib Adaptor to use your Estie with the full range of vintage Esterbrook nibs. Old meets new. Esterbrook endures.
