I take a lot of notes at work and I use this pen now, daily. It is sturdy enough to stand up to the abuse of a safety vest, to planner to backpack to pocket without a leak or sputter. I recently used it to sign my OSHA log for my site. Good times! Everyone oohs and ahhhs over it when I break it out. Nice weight, and nice looking!
I got this pin in my subscription box for January. Immediately love the look and feel of the pen, and loved it even more when I started to write with it. Very smooth, excellent sturdy built, and just an absolute joy to write with.
A really nice pen for the price and includes a quality converter. Wish more pen makers would include the converter with the pen and not make you pay more to get a converter. You would think that if a less expensive pen comes with the converter that the more expensive pens would come with the converter also. Cap clicks on and off very secure and posts nicely with a nice popping sound when you un-post it. Pen and Robert Oster Mistletoe ink came in my December Inkmeister Premium Monthly Subscription. Retail value for the pen and ink are more then what I paid for the monthly subscription which is a nice Christmas present.
I saw this pen in the Truphae Instagram promo and was struck by the all black finish, including the nib. I was intrigued by the description and convinced by the price. I am not disappointed! It came in a nice slim cardboard box with a magnetic closure. The pen has a nice weight and writes smoothly without skipping or blotting. The finish is much better than I expected for the price. The cap posts tightly, almost takes too much effort to seat it, but this means I have no fear it will unbalance or fall off while I'm writing. When capping the nib it has a nice positive "click" and feels air tight. I'm liking this as an everyday pen and as a gift to introduce someone else to fountain pens.
I recieved this in my December Ink box with the Mistletoe ink. From the moment I first opened the monthly box I admit I was more excited by the exclusive ink. And then, I saw the sleek black box with magnet clasp. When I pulled it out I Wow'd at the sleekness of it. Being new to fountain pens I carefully twisted it and of course it is a pull cap.So I pulled and it took quite a bit of pressure to break the suction and pull it off. Should come in handy and keep the ink from drying out. I eagerly inked it up with Robert Oster Mistletoe ink. I fill my pens with a pipette so I'm not sure how well it fills the other way. The fine nib writes beautifully! My only complaint is the diameter of the grip section seems a little small for me but it is still quite comfortable to hold. The weight is great and when I showed my son he balanced it perfectly on his finger I would definitely buy this pen again! With the box it would make a great gift!
