A family tradition forges ahead. Over 45 years of experience in the field of manufacturing writing instruments, handed down from father to son. Leonardo Officina Italiana draws upon the past to craft a vintage style pen with warmth and beauty. Dedicated to the pleasure of writing, the Momento Zero collection represents a new beginning.

Turned from a solid bar of acrylic resin, the weight and feel of the Momento Zero is well-balanced in hand. The tapered grip section provides ample comfort for long writing sessions. The wheel clip attaches easily to your pocket or pen case. The pen is large enough to write unposted. For those that prefer to post their cap, the Momento Zero posts securely on the back-end of the pen. You may opt to fill the pen with the converter by removing the section from the barrel or you may access it by removing the blind cap from the barrel as well. Although this pen is not a limited edition, each barrel is individually numbered with the brand engraving.

As a Gift, the Pen is Perfect

My coworker, who I gave the pen to, gave me a thumbs up in regards to the quality of the pen.

By my understandin, the pen is great!

Exquisite Pen!

I was able to try this pen out while in the shop, and it was so good that I bought it! It is an extremely well-made pen. It exudes quality craftsmanship at every point: the nib is perfectly smooth, the clip is as functional as any pen I've tried, and even the converter is fancy!

The pen feels solid in the hand without being too heavy or chunky. Just the right size and weight. It is well-balanced, and it's a pleasure to write with.

This pen is absolutely worth the money! Chris and his team are top-notch, as well. I can't say enough good things!

Beautiful Pen - Quality and Ink Feed is not good

I love the size of the pen and how it fits in my hand; however, the ink feed is not good, fit and finish is not good, and the cap leaks (which is not good for my dress shirts). In this price range, spend your money on a Lamy 2000 or Pilot or Sailor.

Smooth out of the box

The Positano was my first pen from Chris's Inkcredible box Collector+ level. I didn't yet own a Leonardo. I tried one at a NM Pen Collectors' meeting and was impressed. I like that it's a numbered edition, but evidently an open edition. The color is one of the two I would have chosen so spot on for Truphae reading my preferences. To the pen, I seem to have a different experience than other reviewers. Mine is a fine but laying down a medium line at least, not quite a "fire-hose" but close. But it's so darn smooth out of the box that it's hard to complain about the ink flow. For a steel nib it's exceptional. Inked with MonteVerde Iced Cookie (great match.) I'll try it with some other inks of course but it seems nibs tend to vary on this model. Still lovely, still happy, just be aware if you have very small handwriting as I do because an extra fine is not available.

Leonardo Momento Zero F Marble Green

I had spent some time looking for my next pen. I finally decided on the Leonardo.
Truphae is new to me, and I am very glad to have found them. Chatting with Chris was easy and pleasant. He even agreed to test the nib for me with a dip-test. It was "butter smooth". I ordered the pen and it arrived within a couple of days. Chris was write- quite a smooth writer. ( I don't expect a purveyor of pens to test every nib for pens at this price point- it's really up to the manufacturer and pen maker.)
The pen is comfortable to hold- a good size posted for my large hands, and a good weight. Now for the problem...
The nib ran quite dry. bummer. So, I have a couple of the brass shiims and was able to widen the slit in the nib. Alas, still ran dry. Could a different ink help?,Or was it pen Gremlins from another dimension?, I thought to myself. I was using Pere Noir (I do like it), so I flushed the pen (yes, I flushed when it first arrived) and inked up with Noodler's Black. The flow was much better. Then I tried an ink I like- Diamine Dark Forest. I was trepidatious at first- oh no! what if this ink doesn't work and the pen is useless and I throw it away and then someone finds it and uses it for fraud and they trace it back to me and then I go to jail???
No worries! The pen and ink work great together!
Chris reached out to ask me how it was going with the pen. I told him that the nib was dry and that he might could let Leonardo know. He was gracious and said that he would.
I use the pen everyday! It's a very good match for me.
Thank you Chris and Truphae for an excellent experience!
