Montegrappa 2019 NASA Moon Landing Fountain Pen

In 2019, NASA is prepared to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the landing of the first man on the moon. The event represented one of the greatest achievements of humanity that decreed the victory of the United States in the race to the supremacy of space - a goal comparable to the discovery of the New World by Christopher Columbus. Taking inspiration from the space mission of Apollo 11, who landed astronauts on the lunar surface, and licensed in collaboration with NASA, Montegrappa has reproduced the iconic Saturn V space rocket, interpreting it as a writing instrument. The Moon Landing collection, made of pearl white resin with sterling silver hardware and decorations in enamel to reproduce a trompe-l'oeil effect, with the three-dimensional First, Second and Third "stages" of which the rocket was comprised. The fountain pen has a stainless steel nib with filigree engraving typical of the Montegrappa brand and has a system of loading both cartridge and converter.

The body of the standard Moon Landing pen is made entirely of aluminum and displays US registration and a laser engraved US flag, with a trompe l'oeil play of surfaces in both shiny and satin finish, and then embellishes the body with the typical clip of the structured brand in the shape of a launch pad of the rocket.
