Monteverde Ritma Purple Fountain Pen
The Monteverde Ritma collection is inspired by the minimalist movement of the 1960's and 70's, where clean lines, straightforward designs and beautiful colors within work were the most prominent. Machined to perfection using a mixture of steel and aluminum, the Ritma boasts a streamlined design from magnetic cap top to back post, perfect for those who prefer a well balanced and heavyweight pen.
Each aluminum barrel is anodized in a metallic color and treated with a matte finish, resulting in a muted pop of vibrant colors that are soft to the touch and beautifully accentuated with polished gunmetal accents. The clip is designed to match the straight lines of the body style with an extra flair, the center cut in an elongated oval shape for ease of use.
An exciting feature of this minimalist pen is the magnetic cap and posting, so secure and perfectly designed to the pen it creates a seal. No need to twist off, gently pull and enjoy the striking pop-action sound of the seal opening, then post to the back to experience the secure magnetic seal there as well.
This purple fountain pen comes with a standard international converter and an ink cartridge. The Monteverde Ritma is equipped with your choice of a reliable, smooth-writing German made JoWo #6 black steel nib in extra-fine, fine, medium, broad, 1.1mm stub, or Omniflex.
I was extremely impressed with the Monteverde Ritma fountain pen when I received it. Given as a gift I will surely order again. Great value for the price.
But...I really wish the cap felt more secure.
Distinctive and substantial -- I use this for my journaling practice, and the satisfying hand reinforces the pleasure of writing.
This is my first fountain pen. I received it in the subscription box. I love the color and design, but I have had issues using it as an every day writer. From what I see inscribed on the nib, I have an extra fine nib. I found it to be scratchy on regular paper. I tried it with both Rhodia and Clairfontaine paper. The scratchiness was the same. I really wanted to have more use out of this pen, but for every day writing my LAMY Safari (2nd fountain pen) seems to be a better match for me. I will continue with receiving monthly subscription boxes. I like the idea of trying out different pens and inks to find the one that is perfect for me.
Received my March 2021 Pen of the month club box in the mail today. This month received a Monteverde Ritma in Purple finish in fine point. Also received Monteverde ink in California Teal. Nice feeling pen in your hand with it being made of metal is is a heavier pen. Posting the cap does back weight the pen. So using it for a length of time writing would tire your hand after a while. I have found having the monthly box subscription is a very good deal. I get the 30.00 box and the purchase price of this pen and ink would have been 45.00.
