First presented by Visconti at the opening of the Erotic Art Museum in Hamburg and its "Lust beim Schrieben" ("Lust while writing") exhibit, the popularity of the Visconti Erotic Art Pen prototype caused Visconti to develop an international version. Released in May 1998, this was on the 200th "birthday" of the famous erotic artist Giacomo Casanova. Depicting two lovers locked in an embrace, only 1069 of these exquisite fountain pens were produced in black lucite and brushed sterling silver overlay, decorated finely with an antique etching technique. Even the clip is delicately decorated with detailed etching, with the cap engraved with "Dedicated to Giacomo Casanova" and "1798-1998."
This particular pen comes in Visconti packaging, but it is not original to this pen. The pen itself is in excellent to near mint condition. It comes without the original traveling inkwell.
