I expected a bright, colorful pen. I got a basic blue pen that constantly skips while writing. There was no pink or yellow in the body of the pen like was shown in the example. It was a basic blue pen with no notation of a special pressing or even the name of the pen on the box. Disappointed is an understatement.
I seriously wondered if I got the right pen. My pen is a muddy mix of like meadow green and baby diarrhea yellow, not beautiful teal and pink. It does write beautifully, so at least there's that.
The colors in this pen are absolutely beautiful! It writes smoothly just like the other Visconti pens I have. Feels good in my hand 💖
The Visconti Movements Pop Art writes smoothly as it glides across the page. I’m so happy with the purchase. The colors remind me a warm breezy day. I love the pop of pink!
OK, this is a bit difficult to objectively review. As a pen it is nowhere near as nice as the $26.99 TWSBI Swipe i just purchased. But of course the TWSBI is nowhere near as nice in terms of construction and materials.
The Visconti nib is not a US broad as far as i am concerned, it is more like a medium, whereas the TWSBI is truly a broad nib. The ink flow from the Visconti is fine, no issues, the ink flow fom the TWSBI is excellent and is virtually perfect. The Visconti resin is what makes this pen worth having, it is no great writer, but it is a rarity and as a collector, it can only increase in value over the years, therefore I recommend it. There are much better writing instruments that this, but there are few pens which will provide true ownership satisfaction over the long term.
It is a work of art, no pun intended and a wonderful example of the pen maker’s craft. Other Viscontis in my collection write far better and because of this, it is a bit of a disppointment, although I would buy another if they were still available.
