Went in to the store intending on buying a completely different pen and walked out with this one (all black version). I love the weight and texture of this pen. It is very similar in weight and texture to the Diplomat Aero. The Aero is slightly thicker. If you intend to write for an extended period of time this might not be the pen for you due to the weight but it is perfect for jotting down notes.
But of course I didn't stay underwhelmed. As I lifted the pen from its box, it was clearly top-of-the-line Lamy quality, with all the features I like in a solid, heavy pen. I mean, it's titanium, or at least a titanium finish. It has the weight that inspires the thought: "The pen is mightier than the sword". Well, except for maybe a Kirby broadsword, but if you were to play pen-sword-paper with this one, the pen would definitely break the sword, and be able to write all over the paper besides. Am I being absurd? Well, yes. I tend to view everything in terms of its qualities for walloping someone upside the head. Not that I do that, but it's good to always be prepared. And I love the industrial style of this pen.
