The Pelikan Toledo M900 Special Edition fountain pen brings one of writing culture's most storied decorations to Pelikan's large Souveran platform. Each piece centers on a hand-engraved 925 sterling silver sleeve, then richly finished with 24k gold to create the signature Toledo motif. The result is a pen that feels substantial in hand, visually intricate up close, and unmistakably Pelikan from across the room.
The Toledo artwork is executed using time-honored damascening principles. A master engraver carves the sterling silver sleeve, oxidizing the dark recesses to heighten contrast before selectively applying 24k gold. The interplay of blackened silver and warm gold outlines Pelikan's emblematic pelican and scrollwork with remarkable clarity, and because the engraving is performed by hand, no two sleeves are perfectly alike.
The cap, section, and piston knob are crafted from high-grade resin in classic black, set off by gold-plated trim and Pelikan's beak clip. Built on Pelikan's large-format chassis, comparable to the M800 size, the M900 balances the noble-metal sleeve's weight with a shape that remains comfortable over long sessions.
An 18k bi-color gold nib, accented with rhodium to create a two-tone finish, provides the refined feel that has made the brand a mainstay of enthusiasts and professionals. Pelikan's differential piston system offers generous ink capacity and reliable, smooth filling, while the well-judged section geometry promotes a relaxed grip. Available in a range of nib sizes from extra fine through broad, the M900 accommodates precise notes, flowing correspondence, and expressive signatures with equal poise.
Pelikan introduced the Toledo concept in 1931, drawing on the ornamental metalwork traditions of Toledo, Spain. Today's M900 continues that lineage in Germany with artisanal engraving and precious-metal finishing. As a Special Edition, it is produced in small batches dictated by the time-intensive handwork, preserving the series' artisanal character without assigning a fixed, numbered limitation.

Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.

Exclusions: Currently, we do not offer shipping to Russia and South Africa.
