Love it—Pay Attention to Nib Size

Thanks to Chris at Truphae. Always a pleasure to support his business.

Now, This is my first gold nib pen, and it doesn’t disappoint. The big thing everyone asks about: does the clip bother my hand? No. For me, it’s fine. However, it depends on how you write. I know it bothers other people. The only thing I want to make note of is the nib size. The medium I tried elsewhere was way too thick. This VP fine writes like a European fine. It is about the thickness of my Pilot Metropolitan medium, however. Just some food for thought if those nib sizes are the ones you’re thinking about.
