This pen is elegantly designed with the writer’s experience in mind. It came in my premium subscription box this month and wow… I wish I had checked out this pen earlier. I have a number of Aurora pens, all well engineered and beautiful. The Ipsilon Deluxe came in the impressive Aurora presentation box. Reading the label, I figured the pen had been placed in the wrong box, because it read 14k nib… then I looked closely and found that it is indeed a #5 gold nib that performs beautifully. Check one for the writer’s experience. Another box ticked is its classic design that is perfectly balanced and is comfortable in the hand. The pen is a smaller size, but doesn’t feel small. It feels like it is designed to fit the hand, at least my quite large hand. It is a cartridge/converter pen which is nice for no-nonsense convenience. The pen closes with a snap and snaps to post. I almost thought it didn’t post well… but pressed a bit more and it snapped in place and was so secure that it gave the feeling of being one well-balanced unit. This may become a daily carry for me. Thanks to the Truphae folks for introducing me to another great pen that I might have missed!
