The Montblanc Meisterstück Solitaire Fountain Pen - Gold & Black Classique interprets the familiar Meisterstück silhouette through alternating gold-coated metal and glossy black lacquer. The vertical striping gives the pen an architectural rhythm, transforming the understated Classique format into a more substantial Solitaire writing instrument.
Montblanc introduced the Solitaire family as an elevated expression of the Meisterstück, replacing standard precious resin with metal, lacquer, sterling silver, vermeil, and other premium materials. The Gold & Black design uses repeated longitudinal inlays to create depth and movement across the cap and barrel.
Gold-coated metal forms the underlying structure, while black lacquer fills the vertical channels. The finish changes with the viewing angle: bright gold dominates in direct light, while the black lines sharpen the pen's length and prevent the design from appearing uniformly reflective.
The 18k Medium gold nib provides a balanced everyday line with enough width to show ink shading. Unlike the larger piston-filled LeGrand Gold & Black, this Classique-size model uses a cartridge-converter filling system, allowing either Montblanc cartridges or bottled ink through a compatible converter.
This example is offered in very good pre-owned condition. Fine micro-scratches are present throughout, with more moderate scratching on the cap. No box or papers are included.

Free Shipping: We offer free shipping for all U.S. orders over $20, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.
International Orders:
Shipping Rates: International shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the package and the destination country.
Exclusions: Currently, we do not offer shipping to Russia and South Africa.
