The Platinum Procyon fountain pen is named after the brightest star in the constellation of Canis Minor, one of the 21 first magnitude stars. The textured dark blue aluminum body offers an excellent weight balance when posted, and the screw cap features Platinum’s “Slip & Seal Mechanism” that helps prevent the ink from drying out in the pen. The newly designed feeder helps you fill your pen when only a small amount of ink is left in the bottle, without having to submerge the entire nib. It comes with a smooth writing steel nib and a Platinum ink cartridge (converter sold separately).

Great pen!

I purchased the yellow for a friend as a gift and she reportedly loves it - the weight of the pen (it’s made of metal) and how it writes. Previously, she’s mainly had resin/plastic fountain pens. I have 2 Procyons in F and M and I agree: both are excellent, smooth writers and have a nice heft to it from the metal. Highly recommend the Procyon!

I received this pen in my monthly box. The first thing I noticed was that it was easy to fill completely. I like the style, the size, and the blue color. It seems to write very nicely with no spotting or bleeding through my paper.I have it paired up with my work agenda where it will get a lot of daily use.

Dandy pen

Solid aluminum body, bright colors and a very comfortable writing experience, if you’re looking to step up from your Pilot Metropolitan then this might be your pen. The pen comes with three of Platinums proprietary cartridges featuring their mixable inks, intriguing idea. I ordered the proprietary converter separately. The pen is very smooth and will make an excellent workhouse pen. I got the medium but may also double back and get the fine. Great value.
