The Caran d'Ache Ecridor Ballpoint Pen - Venetian Chevron Rose brings the warmth of rose-gold plating to a surface inspired by the shimmering canals of Venice. Its hexagonal brass body is covered with a finely engraved hammered texture that scatters light across the six faces, giving the pen the character of a contemporary piece of jewelry.
Caran d'Ache created the Venetian finish by revisiting a traditional diamond-engraving technique. Several tapered diamond tools form a field of small, irregular impressions across the metal, producing the visual movement of ripples traveling over water.
The pattern is less rigid than the inverted V engraving used on the standard Ecridor Chevron. Instead, Venetian relies on an organic hammered effect whose highlights change continuously as the pen turns in the hand. The rose-gold finish adds warmth to the texture, shifting between soft pink, copper, and golden tones under different lighting.
Introduced as a mechanical pencil in 1947 and as a ballpoint in 1953, the Ecridor has become one of the emblematic designs of Caran d'Ache. Its slim hexagonal form reflects both the Maison's pencil-making heritage and the architectural clarity of the Art Deco period.
The six-sided brass body is designed, engraved, plated, polished, and assembled in Geneva. Its geometry provides a secure writing grip while giving the craftsmen six distinct planes on which the Venetian texture can interact with light.
The polished push-button operates with a crisp, precise action and extends the writing point for immediate use. Inside is the celebrated Caran d'Ache Goliath Medium black refill, engineered for smooth ink delivery and extended writing life.
A Goliath refill can write up to approximately 600 A4 pages. Compatible replacements are available in multiple point widths and colors, allowing the pen to adapt to personal writing preferences while remaining in service for years.

Free Shipping: We offer free shipping for all U.S. orders over $20, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.
International Orders:
Shipping Rates: International shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the package and the destination country.
Exclusions: Currently, we do not offer shipping to Russia and South Africa.
