The LAMY Al-Star is a workhorse pen, known throughout the pen community for its ruggedness, reliability, and no-nonsense functionality. I was really excited to find this gorgeous limited edition color to add to my LAMY collection, and it doesn’t disappoint. The fuchsia is so pretty, almost like a metallic version of the basic pink Safari. Got the medium nib and it’s writing beautifully. I love everything about this pen!
I love the vibrant pink. Pen feels light and comfortable in my hand. I have quite a few Lamys in Broad nibs (my favorite) but this one feels a little scratchy to me. I have multiple other Lamy Safaris and AL Stars in broad nibs that write much smoother.
I'm very happy. This pen feels lighter than my Safari and writes just as nice. The color is beautiful and is comfortable to write with for long periods of time.
Its light weight. I use it as my everyday pen with their cartridges and have one In every color and size! Great beginners pen! Great price too!
