This maki-e TACCIA Miyabi Kaga ebonite fountain pen in Summer Shimmer has a golden metallic background with horizontal black striations over the ebonite base, and is accented by gold-plated trim. The airtight cushion seal cap allows for a snug closure. Each limited edition fountain pen is individually numbered out of 100 on the bottom of the barrel.
In the 17th century, Tsunanori Maeda, the fuedal lord of the Kaga Domain, collected a series of historically important craftsmanship techniques now referred to as Hyakka-Hisho. To honor the artwork and creativity of this original period, TACCIA has created the Kaga Limited Collection to pay homage to the history and tradition of this celebrated period.
Each fountain pen is made by hand in TACCIA's Urushi studio in Wajima, enhancing traditional inlay techniques with precious metals and lacquers.
To blend the old with the new, each fountain pen comes fitted with a bi-color 18k gold nib made in Japan, over a selection of individually polished ebonite barrels. And to bring historical craftsmanship into your hand, each series is limited and signed by the maki-e artisan.
This fountain pen comes packaged in a wooden gift box and comes with a cloth pen sleeve. The pen fills with either a proprietary Sailor converter or Sailor ink cartridges; both are included.

Special Request Items and Custom-Made Products: Certain items, such as special request items or custom-made products, may require additional shipping time. In such cases, please allow up extra time for these items to be shipped.
Pre-Orders: Any items available for pre-order will have the estimated delivery date listed in the product description.

Drop Shipping: In the event of errors in our on-hand inventory or to expedite delivery, some items may be drop shipped directly from our US distributors. This means that these items will be shipped directly from the distributor's warehouse to your designated shipping address.
U.S. Orders:
Free Shipping: We offer free shipping for all U.S. orders over $20, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Standard Shipping Fee: For U.S. orders below $20, a flat shipping fee of $5.99 will be applied.
International Orders:
Shipping Rates: International shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of the package and the destination country.
Exclusions: Currently, we do not offer shipping to Russia and South Africa.
