AP Limited Editions Writer Maki-e Fountain Pen – The Dunes

From the atelier of AP Limited Editions comes The Dunes, a masterful expression of nature’s shifting forms captured in Japanese maki-e art. Set on a deep ebony ebonite body, this edition features undulating ridge patterns that evoke sand dunes sculpted by wind and light—rendered in layers of gold, brown, and lacquer to capture movement and refraction.

Trimmed with delicate raden inlays, the surfaces shimmer with subtle colours and organic texture, inviting both close inspection and contemplative writing. The pen is fitted with a finely-tuned 14k gold nib and uses a cartridge/converter filling system for flexible bottled ink use.

Highly limited in production to just 9 pieces, The Dunes is crafted for the collector who appreciates rarity, tactile richness and visual narrative in their writing instrument.
