My order arrived in a timely manner. The bubble pack unfortunately did not fully protect the contents. I ordered 2 Lamy pens and 3 ink samples. Both of the Lamy pen boxes were crushed but luckily the pens themselves survived.
LAMY Al-Star Special Edition Fountain Pen - Pine
My pens were delivered with my Lamy AL special edition in Pine writing smoothly for an extra fine, but I had some trouble with my Pelikan TWIST in Silver medium nib but it is writing ok now. Also, the body of my TWIST appeared to have a deep scratch on the barrel it seemed almost like a return. Therefore, I'm giving my review on 4 stars
This is the classic Lamy pen, and is great color limited edition! Buying from Truphae is simple fast and they ship quickly.
My first foray into buying and using a fountain pen as my go-to writing instrument. What I like? Ink level is visible, the cap snaps closed audibly and tightly, the grip has flat sides to help my fingers land well for writing. The nib and ink flow are very nice, sufficient enough for my needs yet not too much ink at any time. The thing that pulled me away from a couple other choices ends up being the thing I wish I had found- the weight. Another pen was a bit heavier than the Lamy. So I settled for this green girl. Good choice indeed but I will find a touch more heft in my next purchase.
