The Pilot Kakuno is a remarkably smooth and consistent pen for the price. It’s very lightweight, so if you like a more substantial pen, it might not be for you. But the light weight doesn’t bother me; I’m happy I added the Kakuno to my collection. I’ll probably buy another one soon. The nib is the same one Pilot puts on the Explorer and the Metropolitan—a very dependable nib.
