Kyo-no-Oto No. 8M Moegiiro captures the fresh green of young leaves, bringing a lively lime tone to notes, planners, and sketches. Part of Kyoto TAG's Kyo-no-Oto collection, it draws on traditional Kyoto color aesthetics to deliver a distinctive, modern writing palette. The hue sits between yellow and green, offering a bright accent without harsh fluorescence.
Craftsmanship & Design
Developed in Japan by Kyoto TAG, the Kyo-no-Oto range interprets historic Kyoto colors as fountain pen friendly, water-based dye inks. Moegiiro is formulated for clean flow and a refined appearance on white or ivory papers, with a natural, characterful shift from light to dark as the ink pools.
Writing Experience
Expect soft to pronounced shading on fountain pen friendly paper, especially with broader nibs or slower strokes. In finer nibs, the color reads crisp and energetic, ideal for headings, marginalia, and illustration highlights. Dry time varies with paper and nib. As a dye-based ink, it cleans easily and is not waterproof.
