I'm not giving up. I hope the next one's more exciting. I got all the inks, they're all nice. They're all pretty, but they're all standard document ink from one manufacturer. they're plain Colors. I was expecting a mix of brands and types; sheeting, shading, document, and so forth. Instead, I got 5 plain colors. Nice colors, there's good one of which was black. Which I thought was weird when made it in color samples for to have more black? I don't think so.They gave me five colors from conklin. It's fine, it's good. I'm happy to try the colors but it's not exciting. I am going to totally give him the benefit of the doubt though. Because II ordered my subscription along with another order. And they sent Em all together. So I kinda get it that I may not have gotten a regular subscription box. They may have had to grab five and put them in there to ship em on time was my order which is fine. Oh, yeah, and they gave me black as one of the colors. I was surprised by the color called dark rust.
It's a really classy, dark red and I have yet to find a pre-made burgundy color that I'm happy with my signature color but I think I'm gonna really like doing some mixing with it. Well I like it writing with it just the way it is. I actually have the red herringbone pen from conklin, and I like to have red in it.But I just don't like bright red.Okay it's possible i'm just picky. I wasn't unhappy with any of the colors I just wasn't excited by them either. But they've been responsive in every every other way, and the reason I went ahead and got it is because is a pen and ink lover, it's too big of a deal for me to not just have it floating in every month.
It was good to try a brand I’ve never tried before and get inks I hadn’t previously considered. I’m excited to see what comes next month.
Keep getting basic colors. Wish i go at least ine interesting ink.
