Very smooth nib. The converter works but not the best quality. It will take international cartridges, short and long.
I ordered this on a whim to meet the free ship threshold and because I had to see if it's as nice as the reviews made out. Happy to report that it is great for the price. The "fine" nib is your typical Chinese "every pen we make gets the exact same nib" sort of thing. It's on the big side of fine or small side of medium if you ask me, but it's smooth and writes well. The pen posts, but doesn't do so smoothly or well. It stays put, but you really have to jam it on there. I wouldn't post it, but it's a little short for me otherwise. I took the nib out because frankly the whole Chinese "fimedium" is boring despite it's reliability. I tried a #5 Jinhao Fude nib, but it was too small, the #6 were too big. You might say this fountain pen was a revolution when I found that it could fit a "5.5" nib with no issues. I have it fitted with a 5.5 broad, I also tried it with the stub (more like a double broad than a stub). I wouldn't recommend the either of the flex nibs. The plastic feed of this pen just can't keep up. It can manage the regular flex if you write VERY VERY slow, but even then it stops and needs flooded every paragraph or so. I haven't tried to modify the feed, because I like the broad and stub in it just fine, and it is much more reliable than any "revolutionary" pen I've tried. So, pick one up, if you happen to have a 5.5 nib then try it out and see what you like. It's a fun little pen.
I love the ken. Perfect weigtt he, writes beautifully and I love the simplicity of the design
I love this pen. Bought 2 for gifts, but decided to keep one for myself. Smooth writer, nice weight in my hand. I enjoyed signing 100 Christmas cards with this pen, with Mandalay Maroon ink. Fabulous for the price.
Really fine pen for the price.
