Monteverde Lion was an ink I never would have purchased on my own because orange inks just aren’t usually my thing. However, April at Truphae recommended it, and I’m so glad I took the suggestion.
I inked it up in my Conklin 1.1 mm stub fountain pen, and it completely changed my mind about orange inks. The color is warm, rich, and surprisingly versatile, with beautiful shading that really comes alive in a stub nib. It’s vibrant without being overpowering and adds a fun pop of color to my journaling and planning.
This has become one of those inks that reminds me it’s worth trying something outside my usual preferences.
