The AP Limited Editions Writer Maki-e “The Parrot with Peaches” Fountain Pen is a rare limited-edition masterpiece, with just 9 pieces produced worldwide. This pen marries the rich tradition of Japanese maki-e lacquer artistry with vivid natural motifs, creating a writing instrument that is as much art as tool.

Crafted with a deep green urushi lacquer body, the pen features a beautifully detailed multi-colored parrot, rendered in gold, silver, and organic lacquer pigments, perched amid branches laden with peaches—the symbol of longevity and vitality. The cap and barrel are wrapped in stunning maki-e decor, where every feather, leaf and fruit is hand-painted and dusted with metallic powder for shimmer and texture. The grip section is similarly finished, making the artistry seamless from end to end.

At its heart, the pen is fitted with a high-performance 14k gold Medium (M) nib with ebonite feed. A converter-compatible filling system enables use with bottled inks or standard cartridges. Each of the 9 pieces is individually numbered and part of one of the most exclusive releases in the AP Limited Editions portfolio.
