After reading the reviews, I thought I would try the Inkmeister Premium Monthly subscription as a nice present to myself. For the price, I knew I was getting a starter pen, which was fine, but I was looking forward to a bottle of ink that I might not choose for myself. I got a nice Kaweco Perkeo, medium nib, with a yellow cap and black body . Although I own a few Perkeo's I don't have the color combo and it is a fun pen to write with and the medium nib was perfect. The bottle of ink was Private Reserve Infinity brown ink. While brown ink is not a go to ink for me, it is a nice dark brown and behaves well. To be honest, I was a little disappointed but for the price I can't really complain. I will continue with the prescription for a few more months. The higher priced boxes would probably bring me more joy but I am not yet ready to add that monthly expense.
I got a Kawasaki and a lamy pen with lamy ink!! I couldn’t be happier! I hope I keep getting great pens and ink!! It is the only subscription I have kept!
I love getting a surprise, but I sort of wish there was a packing slip in the box that told me what it is. Last month the ink had a label and I had to go hunting for the pen info - this month I recognized what kind of pen but have no idea what color this ink is, and neither the box nor the bottle is labelled by the manufacturer. Nevertheless, I am enjoying expanding my collection.
So far I have been pleased with what I am getting, a good value. I think a nice option would be able to select pen or ink or maybe have them alternate so the value could be higher for each.
I received a Kaweco Perkeo pen with a medium nib. I was so excited because I didn’t mention that Medium is my favorite size nib! The pen is amazingly smooth to write with and feels perfect in my hand. It’s in a limited edition color that makes it kind of cool. I would prefer a more girly color but I love the pen nonetheless.
The ink I received is sooo beautiful. It’s a deep purple with shimmer in it. It’s exactly what I would want from a subscription. Something really special. It’s a full bottle of Colorverse Glistening Series in Hayabusa! It’s gorgeous!
