The Jinhao X450 fountain pen features several magnificent colors
The colors really pop against the gold-plated hardware, and two-tone #6 steel nib. It comes with a converter, and also accepts standard international ink cartridges (not included).
These pens have very smooth nibs - in fact, we use them often in our daily writing. The combination of great colors, full functionality and affordable price makes JINHAO a great pen to use every day!

I bought this pen along with the Luoshi Matte Black Cigar Fountain Pen and yes, while it's another cigar body, aesthetically, it blows away the Luoshi's austerity. This is no wallflower with its gold-plated clip and bands that break up the bright red lacquer. The section has grips like a Lamy, contoured to guide your fingers; not really a big fan of that feature, preferring a smooth finish. Being a metal pen, the x450 has weight and girth that sits nicely in my small hands. It wrote right out of the box and its medium nib lays a nice, moderately wet line in a medium width (imagine that!). It does a nice job of shading Diamine's Oxblood red ink that I have currently in the pen. Definitely don't get this personality with a Fine nib. Love it!
The pen is well worth the money paid. It is comfortable to write with. The cap does not post securely, however, it is not necessary as the pen balances well without it. The nib on the pen flows very well and is quite wet. It will easily bleed through regular copy paper or notebook paper, but does well with journals and notebooks.
I purchased the Blue Lightning for my husband, and loves it! He enjoys a hefty pen, and the larger the nib size the better! Gorgeous pen.
I bought this pen since I had two Jinhao 159s that I love. I thought this one would be a little smaller to carry with me. The first one I bought leaked around the bottom of the nib, I brought it back and you were good enough to exchange it for me. The second one leaked as well. I am a pretty experienced fountain pen user and while I am very happy with the store and service the pen is a disappointment. I would recommend Truphae to anyone but not this pen..
Quite surprising. The fit and finish of the pen is amazing for the price, much better than lower end models of premium brand pens. The nib comes off as a “Fine” in a western size. Quite a bit of feedback but I haven’t worked with it.
