I usually go for traditional shapes and styles. However, this modern pen is drop-dead gorgeous! I have the PF One silver with blue accents. Understated elegance. It came with a clever desk-box case, a mini cartridge, and an adapter.
The 3-sided shape is very comfortable for holding and writing. No rolling off the desk! And it writes beautifully and very smoothly. Ink flow is just right. The cap clicks on and off with a bit of pressure, which appears to give a good seal.
I think I will enjoy this pen for a long time.
I just recieved this pen as part of a Collector box. - This is a brand I've only recently heard of and never seen in person. My personal style leans to the highly colorful and I don't think I would have bought this for myself if I'd seen it in a shop. But Wow!
I love the clean, elegant modern lines of this pen. It's triangle shaped, so it doesn't roll! And it has the coolest cap I think I've ever seen on a pen. (The clip is flush with the cap, unless you don't want it to be, and then it very easily rolls around to the back and becomes a functional clip.)... the lettering on the pen is also gorgeous and so well integrated into the matte black finish I didn't see it for nearly a day.
And most important of all, it writes like a dream, fresh from the box!! Seriously, if you like a smooth writer, with little or no feedback, it's definately worth a try.
Fair warning, if you let family see and try it, you might discover you need more than one. ;-)
I got this pen in my inkcredible box. I was not familiar with this pen and was surprised at how smoothly it writes. I love this pen and it has become one of my favorites. It's beautiful as well as being a great writer.
It's a great pen, but the triangular shape makes it difficult to hold. I end up holding near the end and get ink on my finger.
Pininfarina isn't really known for fountain pens. Their strikingly "structural" pencils are compared to the Pompedeau Center in Paris for their use of "exterior design elements." They are arresting and the epitome of Italian design. They nailed it with their fountain pen offering! Sleek, unusual with its triangular shape and "rotating" clip, this pen is everything you want from a pen. Form and function. Be aware that the section is somewhat short so if you grip further back this might not be your pen. There is a steep step from section to barrel. My grip lands right on the transition and somehow that works...it might not for a long writing session. Pleased that I could exchange the all silver for the silver/blue...what a looker! This is Italian design at it's pinnacle, enjoy!!! Received in a Premium Collectors box.
