Received this, with a fine nib, in seagreen, in my first (discounted) Inktastic box.
Unfortunately, the nib wasn't fixed straight relative to the feed on arrival & hardly wrote at all. I expect better quality control from a $100+ pen. I did fix that issue with some DIY email assistance from the (very helpful) Chris; use your thumbnail to push the nib around. However, even straight it still has a very low ink flow, which I don't like. Also, the nib has discoloured slightly along the slit and breather hole (I used Organics Studio and Monteverde inks & I've not seen that on any of my other pens). I've not given up yet & will likely work on the nib, or send it to a nibmeister, to get it where I want it to be.
To be honest, the above is a real shame, because visually it's one of the more beautiful pens I have, & has a very nice weight to it. The metal trim looks really nice, and the metallic shiny resin is gorgeous. I like a nice long nib, which it has, and the nib engravings compliment it nicely.
When looking at images on the web I had not realised that it was a multifaceted shape and that the colours of the Amber version were so nice. The stub nib is nice to write with. A very nice and fascinating pen.
I had my eye on this pen as I kept seeing it around. I received it in my Inkredible monthly box this month. That was a happy surprise to see it in my box. I received Seagreen (Fountains of Poggi) which was the exact pen I had my eye on. It is a lovely pen. It writes beautifully without any scratchiness. It doesn't really have any feedback but I can feel it on the paper which is actually a good thing. I don't like feedback in my pens but I like the way this pen performs. It can be posted to write with, but the pen has a little bit of weight to it and I preferred it unposted. It has enough length that you can write with it very comfortably without posting. I love this pen. It writes well, it looks beautiful, and I am very happy with it.
I have several Stipula's and I really love them. The Adagio I choose was in seagreen and it matches it's name perfectly. The pen is faceted and so comfortable to hold and write with. Silky smooth writing. Loving this pen.
I received the Light Blue Adagio in my monthly box, as one of two pens; the other being the MonteVerde Prima Tiger Eye.
The Adagio, thus far, has consistently finished second to the Prima in the categories of eye-catching appearance and feel of flow when writing, with every person who has seen all of my pens and tested them.
Both have Fine nibs and both are a dream with which to write, but the Prima is just a touch more at home on the paper, and perhaps in the hand due to its round barrel versus the faceted Adagio.
Had I purchased the Adagio, I would've opted for the Sea Green, as I think the lighter green shows of its beauty more effectively than this "Light" Blue.
However, it is definitely worthy of remaining in my possession and use, regardless of color!
I would highly encourage anyone searching for a fountain pen that is a natural extension of their hand, to try the Adagio.
