It features either a hooded or exposed steel Fine nib, fills via standard international cartridge/converter (converter included, no ink) or converted to an eyedropper, and the shark head cap unscrews open and pushes to post. Great inexpensive FP

I love the Jinhao Shark for an inexpensive, take anywhere refillable, writing instrument. It always delivers and I don’t worry about losing.

Good little cute pen!

This piston-fill fountain pen is super cute and writes very well. It is a little stingier as it dispenses ink than some others I have used, but I like that since I write fairy heavily. The nib is fine and not scratchy. The piston mechanism works well. I will buy again as a gift, keeping in mind that it does not come with ink.

Fun and effective

The Jinhao Shark looks like a shark which makes it fun to use. The looks people give you for using a childish looking pen are priceless. The colors also add to the fun factor. I got an ivory one and it looks identical to a piano key in color.

These pens are great for first time fountain pen owners as well as experienced pen enthusiasts. The value given by these pens is high. These pens write as smoothly as the $25-$30 range pens I have purchased, at about 20% cost. Because they write so well I find myself safe guarding them like my more costly pens.

I enjoy the way the hard plastic feels in my hand. The weight of the pen feels negligible when writing for long periods of time. The triangle grip is not severe like the Lamy Safari which adds to the comfort. These pens have charm too.

The only potential downsides are having this affordable pen outdo the one that costs several times more than in it and the inability to clean out the hooded nib and feed if it were to clog.
